MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics scholarship opportunity
£10,000 scholarships are available to eligible UK students.
No prior AI, Data Sciences background knowledge required.
This year, the School of Management received £800,000 funding from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Office for Artificial Intelligence (OAI), awarded by the Office for Students (OfS) to support 40 Applied AI scholarships in the first year (September 2023) and a potential further 40 in the second year. This builds on the OfS funding we received in 2020 (£600,000) to design the course in response to the identified need for more experts in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Data Analytics.
Scholarships of £10,000 are available to eligible UK students on this programme who demonstrate that they are categorised under at least one of the 9 underrepresented groups as identified by the OfS:
(1) Black students
(2) Disabled students
(3) Female students
(4) Students from low socioeconomic background (Index of Multiple Disadvantage quintiles 1 and 2, low household income)
(5) Care Experienced Students
(6) Refugees given the sanctuary status of the university
(7) Estranged students
(8) Gypsy, Roma, Traveller students
(9) Children from military families, veterans and partners of military personnel
During the course, students will have exposure to and hands-on experience of the following tools; Python, R, SAS Analytics, AWS Cloud computing. Students will also cover areas such as Project Management and Management Consulting; Problem-solving skills, Effective communication, Teamwork and Critical thinking will also be addressed.
